Pattern Tuesday
Pattern Tuesday! A weekly installment of pattern recommendations based on garment type/season/theme and mood. Pattern Tuesday was born from friends, family and students asking me for pattern recommendations, and more often than not, the same type of pattern. This series will follow a monthly trend, and I hope to highlight some not so known patterns, and where possible provide insight into their quality and also skills which can be learned from one pattern that can branch into a whole new garment family.
To kick things off, the month of August will be looking at all things lounge. From PJ’s, which personally I believe are a fantastic transition garment into shirt and pant making; to dressing gowns and robes, which can test ones fabric choice; loungewear, which commonly deals with stable knits, and some wonderful finishing techniques; and bras, specifically beginner lounging bras, the perfect starting point if you have never embarked on lingerie sewing before.
